Prieto Picudo, Verdejo and Albarín: The Queens of Our Vineyards
Meóriga was born with a clear vocation to preserve our wine roots recovering and enhancing the Prieto Picudo variety, possibly the only breed that from the last century until the 50s that was clearly identified with a single type of wine and a traditional method of elaboration: the natural needle wine. Meóriga has 65 hectares of its own vineyard, of which 75% corresponds to the unique and native variety of the area, the Prieto Picudo . Being our mostly Prieto Picudo vineyards, we have not wanted to forget our two white grapes, Verdejo and Albarín , to maintain our roots and also offer our most traditional and innovative flavors in white wines.
