The DO León Wine Fair in Valencia de Don Juan once again exceeds public expectations

Great animation in the booths of the fourteen wineries and the solidarity ones of Alcordanza, and also in the musical and entertainment activities of the parallel program.

The flamenco concert by Bruja Luna in the afternoon and the performance of Teatro del Cuervo on the stage of ‘Las Noches del Castillo ́ gave content as parallel activities to the second day of the XXI León Designation of Origin Wine Fair, which held in the Jardín de los Patos in Valencia de Don Juan and once again exceeded all expectations in terms of the number of attendees. Fourteen wineries attached to the Regulatory Council offer more than eighty references of Albarín white wines at their stands, especially, but also Verdejo and Godello in the line of whites and Prieto Picudo in the case of rosados and reds.

Although they are mostly elaborations from the 2022 vintage, which was rated excellent, reds from previous vintages can also be enjoyed, even from 2009, with between two and eighty-five months in the barrel, which demonstrate their enormous oenological potential. of the autochthonous reference variety for this production area.

On Sunday, the Coyanzachef Júnior, with prominence for children accompanied by parents or grandparents, will constitute one of the great attractions of the morning, musically animated by the Pasodoble brass band and which will close in the evening with the awards ceremony to the winners of all the contests, also the one for the best wines of the fair – three whites, three rosés, three young reds and three with wood–, and the draw for the sealed booklets for consumptions that will give the winner the number of bottles that corresponds to your age.

The booths of the wineries and also the solidarity of Alcordanza, the association of relatives and Alzheimer’s patients of Valencia de Don Juan and its region, will remain open from 12:00 to 15:00 and from 20:00 to 23:00.
